Johannes Bahl was born in 1902 in the Volga Region. He had completed at least 4 years of seminary study in Saratov when he was arrested for unknown reasons. The Polish Embassy in Moscow received a letter requesting their assistance dated 28 June 1937. At that time he was in the Kusema concentration camp in the Kirov territory. It is assumed that he died while in this detention camp.
