Biography
Father Desch was born in 1881 in Pfeifer. He graduated from the Catholic Seminary in Saratov and was ordained on 28 April 1904. Among other places, he served in Pfeifer and Saratov (1921-1931). He was arrested in 1931 along with a group of Catholic priests accused of government subversion. He was arrested a number of times, tried, and sentenced. He was released for heath reasons and died of stomach cancer on 7 October 1937 in Astrakhan.
