Biography
Pastor Hasthoffer was born in Amsterdam in 14 May 1784 to Adam Hasthoffer (furrier from Somerein near Pressburg) & Gesina Voigt. He joined the Moravian colony in Sarepta on 17 April 1797 and resided there as a linen weaver until 1809. He was ordained on 3 June 1821, and served the following parishes: Reinhard (1821-1826) and Galka (1826-1847).
He was married to Anna Franziska Hölz (1805 - 19 October 1879), daughter of Pastor Franz B. Hölz & Wilhelmine Nabel.
