Description

Johann Peter Becker was baptized on 6 April 1704 in Staufenberg. He married there on 13 August 1726 to Anna Elisabetha Schmidt. She had been baptized there on 28 December 1704. They have 6 known children, all baptized in Staufenberg: (1) Anna Catharina, baptized 27 April 1727 & buried 11 April 1729; (2) Johann Adam, born 8 June 1730 & buried 18 August 1732; (3) Johann Henrich, born 22 September 1732 & died 30 January 1746; (4) Johann Balthasar, born 10 March 1735 & died 21 March 1783; (5) Anna Elisabetha, born 5 January 1738; and (6) Johann Magnus, born 12 April 1741.

The youngest son, Magnus immigrated to Russia, arriving in the Volga German colony of Warenburg on 12 May 1767. He and his wife Anna Elisabeth are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 87.
