Description

Johann Christoph Berg, son of Simon Berg and his wife Anna Eva, was baptized in the Catholic church in Lampertheim on 5 Nov 1724.  Catharina Münzberger, daughter of Johann Georg Münzberger and his wife Anna Eva, was baptized there on 5 Dec 1723.   The couple married there on 7 Feb 1753.   The baptisms of two daughters are recorded in the Lampertheim parish records: Maria Elisabeth on 12 Jan 1754, and Judith on 3 Jan 1756.   The family arrived in Russia on 25 Jul 1766.  It appears that both Judith and Catharina died during the trip to the villages – Judith is missing from the First Settlers List, and Christoph is married to Anna Maria (last name unknown) when the family is reported on the Seewald First Settler’s List as Family #3.
