Description

Philipp Beüermann was born 13 August and baptized 15 August 1730 in Büdesheim and confirmed there in 1743. He was the son of Johann Andreas Beüermann and Anna Catharina Köppel. Anna Elisabeth Brunckhardt was born 26 September and baptized 28 September 1727, the daughter of Caspar Brunckhardt and Anna Gertrud Köhler. Philipp and Anna Elisabeth married in Büdesheim on 13 May 1756. They had at least four children in Büdesheim: Sophia Gertraud, born 22 June, baptized 23 June 1756; Anna Maria, born 1 March, baptized 3 March 1759 (died 21 January 1763); Johann Andreas, born 7 October, baptized 9 October 1761; and Johann Christoph, born 3 September, baptized 4 September 1764.

Philipp Biermann, his wife Anna Elisabeth, and their three children arrived in Russia on 29 July 1766 along with several other families who settled in Grimm. The ship arrival describes Philipp as a farmer from Friedeburg.

Johann Andreas and Johann Christoph must have died during the journey to the villages. Philipp, Anna Elisabeth, and daughter Sophia Gertrude settled in Grimm and are reported there on the First Settlers List (1767 Census) in Household #66. Philipp is described there as a craftsman from Friedberg.

The family as reported in Household #141 of the 1775 Census includes Philip Bierman, his wife Anna Elisabetha, daughter Elisabetha, and daughter (Sophia) Gertrude, with her husband Johann Zulauf and their daughter Katharina.

Philipp Bierman and Elisabeth Brungardt are still living in Grimm in 1798 and reported there on the 1798 Census in Household #96 along with their daughter Elisabetha Margaretha and her husband and children. Gertrude and her husband and son are reported in Household #132, with a note that they are living in Galka.
