Description

Johann Jakob Damm, son of Johann Nicolaus & Anna Elisabetha Damm, was born on 25 July 1731 in Kriegsfeld in the Kurpfalz (now in Rhineland-Palatinate) northwest of Mannheim. He married Catherina Elisabeth Heinrich and they and their two children (Johann Heinrich, b. 1761, and Anna Christina, b. 1763) immigrated to Russia and settled in the colony of Schilling . Jakob's second wife is recorded there as a widow on the 1798 Census in Household No. Sg043 with son Heinrich in Household No. Sg042. Daughter Anna Christina is recorded on the 1798 Census in Stahl am Tarlyk in Household No. St39 married to Johannes Schneider.
