Description

Caspar Wilhelm Tucksberg, son of Philipp Tucksberg, was baptized 24 April 1739 in the Evangelical Reformed church in Schwelm. Caspar Wilhelm Tucksberg married Anna Margaretha Rosendahl in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Schwelm on 31 October 1762. Anna Margaretha Rosendahl, daughter of Peter Johannes Rosendahl, was baptized in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Lüttringhausen on 8 March 1739. Caspar Wilhelm and Anna Margaretha had two children, both baptized in Lüttringhausen: Maria Gertrud, baptized 23 January 1763; and Maria Catharina, baptized 1 July 1764 (died 23 February 1766).

A list of colonists dated 14 April 1766 includes Caspar Wilhelm Dugsberg, his wife Anna Margaretha Rosenthal, and their children Maria Gertrud, age 3, and Johann Caspar, age 2 weeks.

The family arrived in Russia on 24 July 1766.

Caspar Duxberg and his wife Anna are reported on the Transport Lists with a notation that Anna died during the journey to the colonies. Their children are not reported on this list, suggesting that the children died prior to the colonists' departure from St. Petersburg.

Caspar Wilhelm Duxberg and his new wife Elisabeth settled in Boregard. They are reported there on the 1767 Census (First Settlers List) on the list of Temporary Colonists in Household #56.

By 1798, family members and descendants had relocated to four other colonies. Catharina Duxberg is married to Christoph Schmidt, and they and their sons are reported in Boaro in Household #11. Caspar Wilhelm Duxberg's wife Elisabeth Feldmann has remarried after his death and she and their son Johann Cornelius Duxberg are reported in Katharinenstadt Household #39. Anna Catharina Duxberg from Cäsarsfeld is reported in Katharinenstadt Household #75 and Maria Duxsberg from Cäsarsfeld is reported in Household #121. Christina, Wilhelm Duxberg's daughter, moved from Katharininstadt to Paulskoje, and she is reported in the 1798 Census of Paulskoje in Household #67.
