Description

Johann Geoge Götz (settler in Hussenbach) and Johann Conrad Götz (settler in Yagodnaya Polyana) were brothers.

Johann Georg Götz was born 23 Apr 1722 in Ober-Ostern.  Anna Barbara Barthel was born about 1724 in Winterkasten.  The couple married on 10 Mar 1746 in Neunkirchen.  The baptisms of seven children are recorded in the Reichelsheim parish records:  Johannes, b. 29 Jan 1747 (died 10 Mar 1747); Anna Margaretha, b. 7 Jul 1748 (died Apr 1750); Johannes, b. 28 Jan 1751; Anna Margareatha, b. 11 Jan 1754 (died Jul 1763); Johann Georg, b. 6 Jan 1757; Anna Elisabetha, b. 2 Dec 1759 (died 10 Feb 1760); and Eva Catharina, b. 1761, (died 1 Mar 1762).

The couple and their two surviving children arrived in Russia on 15 Sep 1766, and settled in Hussenbach.  The Götz family can be traced back to the 1600s in various villages in the Reichelsheim parish.
