Georg Ferdinand Iphöffer, son of Jerg Ferdinand Iphöffer & Catharina Hirsch, was born in 1711 in Germany. He married in Berwangen, northeast of Eppingen, to Anna Susanna Katharina Dünch in 1734. She was born in about 1710. They have at least 6 children, all born in Heinsheim, southwest of Gundelsheim: Eva Katharina (born 4 March 1738), Magdalena (born 23 March 1740), Dorothea (born 4 September 1744), Eva Salome (born 28 April 1746), Bernhard (born 11 March 1748), and Michael (born 18 June 1752).

The Iphöffer family is recorded in Frankfurt as leaving from Spöck, northeast of Karlsruhe, in 1761. They settled on 24 July 1761 on the farmstead of Fidelité in the colony of Friedrichsholm in Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein). On 29 July 1762, they moved to farmstead of Hüt das Holz.

On 4 January 1765, Ferdinand, Katharina, and four of the children left Denmark and immigrated to Russia, arriving in Shcherbakovka on 20 May 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Households No. 36 (parents) and No. 37 (Bernhard). Daughter Eva Salome had married Georg David Dietz. They are recorded in Household No. 6 of the 1767 Census of Shcherbakovka , having arrived there a year earlier on 15 June 1765.
