Description

Heinrich Jacob König, son of Andreas König, was born 9 January and baptized 12 January 1713 in Quellendorf. Dorothea Maria Schumann, daughter of Samuel Schumann, was born 25 September and baptized 1 October 1715, also in Quellendorf. Heinrich Jacob König and Dorothea Maria Schumann married in Quellendorf on 12 February 1741. The baptisms of eight chidren are reported in the Quellendorf parish records: Johann Christian, born 23 November, baptized 28 November 1741; Johann Christoph, born 11 September, baptized 16 September 1743; Johann Andreas, born 12 July, baptized 13 July 1745; Johann Jacob, born 1 August, baptized 4 August 1746; a stillborn daughter, 4 August 1751; Johann Georg, born 11 August, baptized 13 August 1752; Regina Louisa Gerdrauta, born 20 January, baptized 22 January 1754; and Johann Martin, born 19 January, baptized 22 January 1756. The baptism records for Quellenberg from 1757 to 1766 are missing, but based on later Russian records, they had at least one additional child: Maria Sophia. The deaths of two unnamed sons are recorded on 6 September 1745 and 24 April 1753.

The family arrived in Russia on 9 June 1766. At this point, the family consisted of Jacob, his wife Maria, and their children Christoph, Christian, Louisa, and Maria.

The family members as reported in the Transport Lists are Jacob Koenig, his wife Maria, daughter Louisa Regina, daughter Maria Sophia, and sons Christian and Christoph.

They settled in Boaro. Jacob and Dorothea, along with their children Christoph, Ulrike Louise, and Maria Sophia, are reported in Household #86. Christian and his new wife Dorothea are reported in Household #25.

Louisa König and her husband Christoph Wolf, along with their nine children, are reported in the 1798 Census of Stahl am Karaman in Household #30. They had moved to Stahl am Karaman from the village of Kano in 1786.
