Description

Justus Lotz married Anna Elisabetha Bramm on 25 September 1749 in the Evangelical Church of Alsfeld, about 47 kilometers west of Giessen.

They had four children, each baptized in Alsfeld: (1) Justus, born 19 December 1750 and baptized 20 December 1750; (2) Georg Dieterich, born 23 March 1753 and baptized 25 March 1753; (3) Johann Heinrich, born and baptized on 26 August 1755; and (4) Maria Elisabetha, born 12 October 1757 and baptized on 13 October 1757.
Justus and his family emigrated to Russia, and settled in the Volga German colony of Katharinenstadt on 3 August 1766. They are recorded there on 1767 census in Household No. 71.

By the time of the 1798 Katharinenstadt census, Justus Jr. and his family are recorded in Household No. Ka150 with daughter Maria Elisabetha in Household No. Ka149.
