Description

Johann Michael Ott, son of Johann Martin Ott, married Anna Maria Ott, daughter of Johann Michael & Anna Maria Ott, on 5 May 1742 Ötisheim, 59 kilometers southwest of Heilbronn. Anna Maria had been baptized on 4 July 1724 in the Evangelical Church of Ötisheim.

They had seven children, each baptized in Ötisheim: (1) Margaretha Katharina, born 8 November 1744, baptized 9 November 1744; (2) Anna Maria, born 30 December 1747, baptized 31 December 1747; (3) Georg Martin, born 14 May 1750, baptized 15 May 1750; (4) Anna, baptized 30 May 1753; (5) Elisabetha Barbara, born & baptized 15 December 1755; (6) Georg Conrad, born 12 July 1758, baptized 13 July 1758; and (7) Christian Conrad, born & baptized 15 July 1759.

Johann Michael and his family immigrated to Denmark, departing from Altona on 4 July 1761 under the leadership of Georg Hermann. They arrived in the city of Flensburg, Duchy of Schleswig, on 17 July 1761. The Ott family remained in Denmark until 24 April 1765.

They immigrated to Russia, settling in the Volga German colony of Galka on 12 April 1766 where they are recorded on the 1767 Census in Household No. 04.

In 1788, son Christian moved to Stephan where he is recorded on the 1798 Census in Household No. Sp10. Son Georg moved to Pobochnaya where he is recorded on the 1798 Census in Household No. Pb20.
