Description

Johann Konrad Reimer, son of Hans Georg & Sybilla Elisabetha Reimer, was baptized on 6 May 1729 in the Freudental Evangelical Church, about 35 kilometers north of Stuttgart in Baden-Württemberg. He married Johanna Sophia (surname unknown) who had been born in 1731.

They had two children, each born in Freudental: (1) Johanna Rosina Katharina, born 22 January 1755; and (2) Johann Konrad, born and baptized on 15 October 1758.

The Reimer family and their servant Johann Staudacker immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), departing from Altona, Duchy of Holstein, on 29 Jun 1761 under the leadership of Johann Thomas Gabler. They arrived in the city of Schleswig, Duchy of Schleswig, on 4 July 1761.

Johann Konrad died in Denmark on 29 September 1761. His widow remarried the colonist Georg Brunner in 1763. They are recorded there until 24 April 1765, when they (including the two Reimer children) immigrated to Russia. They arrived in the Volga German colony of Reinwald on 14 July 1766 where Johann Konrad Reimer Jr. and his sister Johanna are recorded on the 1767 Census in Household No. 17.

He is also registered in Reinwald on the 1798 census in Household No. Rw14.
