Description

Christoph Schneider (a widower) and Anna Catharina (daughter of Johann Heinrich Albert) were married in Büdingen on 27 Feb 1749. They arrived in Russia on 10 Aug 1766 with four children, all of whom were baptized in Büdingen on the following dates: Susanna Catharina Philippina, 30 Jul 1752; Maria Sophia Wilhelmina, 27 Oct 1754; Johann Heinrich, 19 Jun 1757; and Johann Georg, 9 Mar 1760. Christoph, Susanna Catharina Philippina, and Johann Georg must have died at some point during the trip to the villages. On the Norka First Settler’s List, Anna Catharina is married to Martin Ross (Family #27), and Maria Sophia Wilhelmina and Johann Heinrich are listed as stepchildren of Martin Ross (Family #27a).
