Description

Among the children of Conrad Burbach recorded in the parish records of Hüttengesäß were Dorothea, baptized on 12 March 1719; and Conrad, baptized on 20 August 1747. Dorothea Burbach married Caspar Schneider on 3 March 1738 in Hüttengesäß. Two of Caspar and Dorothea's children were baptized in Hüttengesäß: Elisabetha baptized 29 November 1741 and Anna Barbara baptized 9 July 1744.

The family arrived in Russia on 13 September 1766 on a ship commanded by Johann Grapp. Anna is recorded as a widow from Isenburg and of the Reformed faith. With her are her children Johann, age 19; Elisabeth, age 23; Barbara, age 22; and Catharina, age 16; and her brother Conrad. Conrad is incorrectly reported on the Kulberg List as Anna Dorothea's son.

The family settled in Messer and is reported there on the 1767 Census (First Settler's List) in Household #87.
