Description

The lists of the recruiter Johann Facius include Joseph Schöneman, from Michelau, with his wife, and four children. According to the Wolferborn parish records, Joseph Schöneman, son of Conrad Schöneman, and Anna Margaretha Seipert, daughter of Johann Philip Seipert, of Michelau, were married on 2 May 1753. The Wolferborn parish records report the baptisms of six children: Johann Heinrich, 4 Oct 1753; twins Rosina and Anna Maria, 11 Apr 1756; Johannes, 12 Mar 1758; Sebastian, 11 May 1761; and Anna Maria, 28 Mar 1766. The family arrived in Russia on 22 Jul 1766.  They settled in Norka and are reported there in First Settler's List Family #116.
