Johannes Georg Schremser was born in Schriesheim on 25 February 1732. He was engaged to Anna Christina Stay, born about 1734 also in Schriesheim. The village of Schriesheim is about 7 kilometers north of Heidelberg.
They married on 17 April 1760, in Altona, near Hamburg, as they immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein) arriving on 1 May 1760 and settled in Fredericia Colony, Vejle, Jütland, near Havredal. They, with a daughter, were last documented as residents there on 26 April 1763.
They arrived in Moor on 1 July 1766 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 14. Several Schremser family members are listed in the 1798 Census.
