Heinrich Schuh was born in 1724 in the Jagstkreis district, Baden-Württemberg. He married Maria Christina Göltenbodt [also spelled Goldenboth] on 5 December 1752 in the Ohrnberg Evangelical Church, northeast of Heilbronn. Maria Christina, daughter of Georg Michael & Margaretha Anna Katharina Göltenbodt, was born on 25 December 1722 and baptized on 27 December 1722 in Ohrnberg.
They had a boy, named Melchior Christian, who was born & baptized on 2 April 1754 in Ohrnberg. Heinrich's family immigrated to Denmark (Schleswig-Holstein), departing from Altona, Duchy of Holstein, on 17 May 1762 under the leadership of Leonhard Steiner. They arrived in the city of Flensburg, Duchy of Schleswig, on 22 May 1762.
On 11 May 1765 they left Denmark and immigrated to Russia. Heinrich Schuh, his wife Maria Christina, and his son Melchior Christian arrived in the Volga German colony of Rosenheim on 15 March 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 51.
Son Melchior Christian married Christina Schipper. They are registered on the 1798 Census in Rosenheim in Household No. Rm43.
