Johann Peter Simon was born 2 May 1743 in Rossdorf bei Darmstadt, Hessen, son of Johann Daniel Simon (b. 12 March 1715) and Catharina Elisabetha Koop (b. 5 January 1723). He arrived in Laub on 12 July 1767. He was widowed on 7 November 1767, but the name of his wife is not recorded.
Peter is listed as the deceased husband of Katharina Magdalena Faber on the 1798 Census of Laub, Household Number 33.
