Neu-Ährenfeld was located east of Ährenfeld and is presumed to have been settled by colonists from Ährenfeld. It was not an official daughter colony, but a khutor (farmstead). Following the collectivization of the early Soviet era, it was part of the Ährenfeld Collective Farm.
