History

The city was founded on 6 July 1573 by Jerónimo Luis de Cabrera, who named it after Córdoba, Spain.

In the 1970s, Volga German descendants moved to Córdoba City from San Antonio in Entre Ríos Province.

The Iglesia Evangélica Luterana Argentina has a college in Córdoba: Colegio Luterano Concordia.
