Johann Eberhard Forschauer, son of Johann Henrich Forschauer and Anna Elisabeth Bamberger, was born 7 March 1735 in Aßlar (today in Lahn-Dill-Kries, Hesse), west of Giessen. Eberhard and his wife Sophia arrived in Oranienbaum 8 August 1766 from Lübeck aboard a ship under the command of Skipper Wiebe Heinrichson.
They arrived in Kukkus on 26 June 1767 and are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 47.
Descendants of this family does not appear to continue among the Volga German colonies.
