Johann Nikolaus Junker married the widow Anna Margaretha Mohr on 6 February 1759 in the Catholic Church in Becherbach, about 37 kilometers north of Kaiserlautern in Rheinland-Palatinate (which at that time was part of Bavaria). Anna Margaretha already had a daughter, Katharina Mohr (born about 1748).

Johann Nikolaus & Anna Margaretha had two children, both baptized in Becherbach: (1) Maria Magdalena (Helena), baptized on 11 November 1759; and (2) Johannes Jakob, baptized on 1 May 1762.

Johann Nikolaus and his family immigrated to Russia arriving in the Volga German colony of Rohleder on 14 July 1766. They are recorded there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 29.

On the 1798 Census, daughter Maria Magdalena is recorded in Rohleder in Household No. Rl30. Son Johannes Jacob and his family had moved to Herzog in 1786 where they are recorded on the 1798 Census in Household No. Hr17.
