Description

Anton Müller, a widower and resident of Horbach, and Maria Eva Müller, daughter of Adam Reising from Nieder-Steinbach, Krombach, Bavaria, married on 10 February 1743. Anton and Maria Eva had three children in Horbach: Johannes, baptized 23 July 1745; Johann Adam (baptism not found); and Christian, baptized 22 May 1752.

By the time Eva registered to immigrate to Russia, Anton had already died. She is reported as a widow from Horbach on a list of colonists recruited from the Hanau region.

Eva Müller along with her sons Johannes, Johann Adam, and Christian arrived in Russia on 14 June 1766. It appears that Eva must have died during the journey. Christian is reported as an orphan on the Hildmann 1767 Census (First Settlers List) in Household #5. Johannes and his wife Katharina Beil are reported in Household #43.

A 2020 Heimatbuch article identifies Leichtling as the family's initial settlement location. It appears that at least one family member did relocate to Leichtling: Christian Müller is reported on the 1798 Leichtling census in Household #44. Johannes Müller and Katharina Beil are reported in Hildmann Household #19.
