Description

Johann Heinrich Nagelschmidt was born 6 Aug 1702 in Udenhain, the son of Johann Martin Nagelschmidt and Magdalena Schleicher. Johann Heinrich Nagelschmidt married Elisabetha Margretha Kron in Unterreichenbach on 8 Feb 1730. Their daughter, Anna Margaretha Nagelschmidt, married Nicolaus Vogler.

The Nagelschmidt couple, the Vogler couple, and the Vogler’s children immigrated to Russia, all arriving on 8 Aug 1766.

Johann Heinrich Nagelschmidt did not survive the trip to the villages, but most of his family did. They settled in Norka and are reported there on the First Settler's List in Family #130. His granddaughter, Anna Margaretha Vogler, married Johann Heinrich Horst in Russia. Thus, Johann Heinrich Nagelschmidt is the ancestor of all of the Voglers in Norka, and all of the Horsts in both Frank and Kolb.
