Description

Philipp Reuscher was baptized in Altengronau, Schlüchtern, Hessen, Germany on 26 Aug 1725, the son of Johannes Reuscher. Philipp married Anna Catharina Kühlmann on 5 Mar 1750. She was born about 1722 in Altengronau.

Philipp and Anna Catharina became parents to at least seven children, all born in Altengronau: Johann Conrad, baptized 26 Jan 1750; Johann Caspar, baptized 28 Apr 1753, Johann Adam, baptized 6 Oct 1754; Anna Barbara, baptized 5 May 1757 - died before 1766; Gertrude, baptized 2 Mar 1759; Margaretha, born about 1761; and, Johann Peter, born about 1764.

The eight members of the Reuscher family arrived in Russia aboard the Russian vessel Slon (Elephant) on 19 Jul 1766.

All members of the Reuscher family arrived in the colony of Norka on 15 Aug 1767 and were recorded in the 1767 census as household 147.

Johann Conrad married Maria Sophia Louisa Seibert from Grimm about 1772.
