Description

Sebastian Schultheis, son of Johann Heinrich and Gertrude Schultheis, was born in May 1701 in Hettersroth. He was baptized on 25 May 1701 in nearby Unterreichenbach. He married Anna Katharina Volz who had been baptized in Unterreichenbach on 12 April 1709, daughter of Johann Adam Volz. They had seven children:

Sebastian died 1 April 1752. Two of his sons, Johann Ernst (along with his wife Anna Gertrude) and Johann Georg, immigrated to Russia, arriving from Lübeck in the port at Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766 aboard the ship "Strel na".

They and settled in the colony of Huck on 17 August 1767. They are listed there on the 1767 Census in Household No. 84 (Ernst) and No. 86 (Georg).
