Description

Johann Georg Windecker married Susanna Elisabetha Ehrlich had four children: Anna Christina, Franz Christian, Anna Maria (born in June 1754 in Herrnhaag, southwest of Büdingen), and Johann Benedict (born 26 September 1756 in Herrnhaag). Susanna died and in May 1762, he married in Herrnhaag to Anna Elisabeth Wenzel, daughter of Conrad Wenzel.

Johann Georg, his second wife Anna Elisabeth, and the children from his first marriage arrived at the port in Oranienbaum on 9 August 1766. The father and stepmother died in route to the Volga colonies as only the children are recorded on the 1767 Census of Walter: Anna Christina married Christian Diehl (Döll) and her sister Anna Maria are in Household No. 36. Franz and Benedict are in Household No. 81.

Future generations of this family moved to the colony of Hussenbach.
