Associated Colonies
Place of origin
Fischborn (Birstein), Main-Kinzig-Kreis, Hessen, Germany
Description

Note that there are two different Michel families that settled in Huck, both from the same parish in Germany. The children have similar names, so it is easy to confuse the two families.

The 1836-1845 Communion Register of Huck reports that Johann Adam Michael was born 27 Jun 1759 in Fischborn, and Eva Elisabeth Michael was born 6 Jun 1763 in Fischborn. Both baptisms are recorded in the parish records of Unterreichenbach. They are both children of Eloiß Michael.

Eloiß must have died during the trip to the villages.  His wife, Anna Barbara, is married to Johannes Schneider on the First Settler’s List of Huck (Family #47), and the two children are reported as step-children in the Schneider household (Family #47a).
