Description

Johannes Oswald (son of Johannes Oswald) and Maria Elisabetha Ruff (daughter of Peter Ruff) married in Eich on 23 Jul 1726. Among their children were Johann Valentin, b. 25 Oct 1729, and Conrad, b. 25 Aug 1732. Valentin was confirmed in 1744 and Conrad was confirmed in 1747. Valentin married Maria Elisabetha Bajers, daughter of Lorenz Bajers, on 5 Jun 1764. Conrad married Anna Barbara, the widow of Christoph Kimmel on 6 Jun 1764. Conrad and Anna Barbara had a daughter, Anna Maria, b. 22 Mar 1765.  

Both families immigrated to Russia. Conrad arrived on 8 Aug 1766 and is reported in Family #12 in the Kautz First Settler’s List. Family #12 also includes three stepchildren who are the children of Christoph Kimmel: Johann Georg, b. 7 Sep 1753, Maria Elisabetha, b. 17 Feb 1757, and Anna Margaretha b. 4 Sep 1760. Valentin arrived on 25 Jul 1766 and is reported in Family #19 on the Kautz First Settler’s List. 

Johann Georg Kimmel is reported on the Merkel 1798 Census in Household #12.
